How I am Using Collaborative AI to Help With My Study Abroad

So I can spend more time enhancing student experience.
1

Welcome to the Krakow, Poland edition of Cyborgs Writing. As I sit in my apartment here in Krakow, I'm excited to share insights from our study abroad program at UNC Wilmington and how AI has enhanced the management and organization of my study abroad program.

This program delves into professional writing, technical writing, and content development across cultures, exploring local culture and businesses to understand AI's integration into various sectors.

By the way, half of the proceeds from paid subscribers goes to support this study abroad. This year, these funds covered all our students' t-shirts. My ultimate goal is to fully fund at least one student's trip through these subscriptions.

Upgrade to support this study abroad and get access to exclusive content.

Introducing BoodleBox

One tool that has been instrumental in managing my study abroad is BoodleBox. Unlike a typical AI assistant, Boodle allows collaboration with multiple AI bots, each specializing in different tasks. You can upload relevant knowledge into the app and work with various bots, from educational assistants to customer support.

I've starred several useful bots, including a journal editor, the Gemini 1.5 bot, a technology support bot, and more. The spaces I've set up often include multiple bots programmed with the knowledge I've uploaded. This approach creates a collaborative knowledge base that various bots can access for different projects.

Here's how I've successfully used this tool in our study abroad program:

  • Knowledge Base Utilization: The real power of Boodle AI lies in its knowledge base. For instance, I have uploaded all the readings assigned to my students. This means every AI bot in our chat knows the background information, aiding in creating more contextually aware content. This includes our syllabus and all descriptions of the study abroad program.

  • Assisting with Pre-Trip Preparation: Before the trip, I worked with a study abroad advisor bot to brainstorm reminders for students and organize pre-trip activities. The teaching assistant bot provided invaluable assistance by offering creative ideas for research questions whenever I found myself stuck.

  • Automating Daily Student Communications: During our trip, I drafted detailed messages outlining the next day's activities. The teaching assistant bot then cleaned up these drafts, adding essential headers, bullet points, and practical reminders.

  • Enhancing Social Media Posts: For social media, the bots were highly effective. I'd input rough ideas, and the social media bot would enhance these drafts, turning them into polished posts. Over time, the quality of posts required less manual editing as the bot became more proficient.

  • Achieving Clarity and Efficiency: A memorable instance involved the bot expanding on a single sentence to craft a compelling social media post. Such features saved me considerable time and significantly reduced my stress levels.

These examples barely scratch the surface of what BoodleBox can do. This tool stands out for its emphasis on AI as a collaborative partner, suitable for both solo endeavors and team settings. You can invite multiple people into a chat, creating an environment where humans and AI work seamlessly together.

If you're interested in exploring BoodleBox. You can get 20% off a few months of the paid version with this link, though there's also a free version available for testing the basic features.

I believe the applications of this tool will continue to grow, and I look forward to sharing more use cases in the future.

If you try it, let me know what you think!
